Greetings all. You'll excuse me for skipping the last newsletter that was supposed to be written at the beginning of october. I did not write it due to a lack of time, but also of motivation and I think there was not much to be said when I had to do it. I know there's a lot of frustration in the air latetly but I hope that seeing what has been done and what's going to be done with help, you all get back the good mood.
First of all, it's important to talk about the gains and lost so to say of members in the team. At the beginning of september, we had plan a general come back to the game of everybody, the summer being over, but everybody didn't come back as expected then. I'm thinking about Nemes!s but mostly Inferno. But we must not forget to talk about those who simply don't play anymore beeing too busy in DarKaTTaK that we won't see until next summer, TraKeR2x, GeNoCide and Nero who made a short come back. Of the members already in the team, only one got kicked out of the team since that very person did not give any sign of life in about 5 months until recently. I'm talking of course about OptimusCrime. His reason is to no longer have time, but don't we have time or don't we take time? No matter what, even if he's willing to stay in touch with the team now, he's no longer part of it. That said, we can at least enjoy the acquisition during the month of september of DeConCrisSeuR, Maalox and InF!NiTY. Fusion and Onyx had come back, but those kids don't know what they really want and most important they don't realize the huge chances they had to be part of our team.
In cooperation with the newest acquisitions, we wanted to divide the team in some way on a skill level with the elite division that would play the most important matches in TWL et later in CAL and another division, the 2nd Division for some other TWL matches. This 2nd division didn't last long since we were missing about 3 active players to realise this division. Then Fusion and Onyx left and made an end to this division that way. The door is still open to a futur 2nd division, but we'll never do it until we get the good amount of players for it.
We started to play in TWL again at the beginning of september in the 4 vs 4 Team Deathmatch and 5 vs 5 Search and Destroy later in october et so far we've done good in general. Of course we got some close and hard losts but our records of 5-2 and 3-2 are still respectable. A little effort will be needed from everyone in and out of the game specially in the making of strategies.
The month of october has been calm. No recrutement, only the continuation of the scrims and ladder matches. What we should keep in mind of this month is the fact that we are much more accepted in the CoD2 community and most importantly in Quebec. Not only on the respect and skill point of view but also because we are good people to talk with when you can get along with us. There's simply way too much bullshiter who should keep their mouth seeing they could die of a punch in the face so skinny they are. I think it would be important to notice that on my side I'm a lot less frustrated during the matches. I'm only angry and whine when I feel it's really important. However there's a certain angry mood going on in the team on almost everybody and I think you need to face it to eliminate it.
I would add to this that during my 1 week break in october I have been able to spend a few hours on the design of the website. But it's not completly over. I want you to understand there's only draws on paper done and the website itself is far from beeing ready. I'm missing time to finish this project but I certainly don't want to do it without beeing satisfied. However, I can say I love what I've done so far and I'm sure you won't be desapointed.
I will bring on the table the subject of the forum again. There's not much going on there. I mean it's not that I want you to spend to much time there but I don't even feel, or should I say I know almost none of you are going into it to get the information for the ladder matches and others. It's very desapointing since I'm always putting some time into this to make sure you get the information you need. Also in this, I'm sure a lot of you have seen it, I put down the results of all official scrims we do since september as well as detailed results of all TWL matches. Just take in note that if you're not going into the forum to get access to the ladder matches information, you can see the information of the closest match to be played on the description of the CoD2 #Ladder channel on Teamspeak.
I will conclude this news letter by annoucing you that there will be a meeting on thursday november 9th at 8:00 PM. We'll discuss of a few subjects such as the expansion of the team, the attitude in and out of the game, our goals for TWL and CAL S4 and of the website to only name those I'm thinking about as I write. This meeting will be in french since the english members are a minority and that some french simply won't understand if we speak in english. That said, you (Nemesis, Stimulator and Demon) will still get the very same meeting with me and maybe CoLL and Chris on sunday afternoon or if you can't on sunday night. It's important to have everyone's participation, but that, you're mature enough so I don't have to tell you this.
