Back with another newsletter that's coming a little late, but I wanted to wait until we do the meeting to write it. Thank to all who showed up. This meeting has been a very important one, lasting near 2 hours and that only with six people, can you imagine!
BIRTHDAYS
LeBoss002 will be 38 years old on May 26th and Ranger will turn 30 the same day. Happy birthday to both of you!
MEMBERS
3 members(Cannibal, Lance & Eman) have been kicked out at the meeting. Cannibal had already become inactive and didn't really like COD4 or scrims, but he is welcome to come back if he is willing to put some time in the team. We just can't count on Lance, he always leaves when we need him and he is never there so this is the last time I kick him out of the team. Eman never been active since he joined the team. But he looks like a promising players so he is welcome to come back as well when he will be available.
We are now looking for a few new members and while we were searching we found S10 (xfire: s10racertn) who joined us on May 10th. Welcome to the team!
GAMES
You don't know what you are missing to not play RS Vegas 2. It is a very very good game, even thought it's been seen before but now with many additions including a ranking system way better than the COD4 one.
I don't know since when this rumor or announcement has been made, but it seems that Call of Duty 5 will still be modern warfare and the title will be available for Xbox 360, PS3 and even PC April 2009.
LEAGUES & EVENTS
Unfortunatly, we are not yet #1 since we just lost by forfet to 101st Screaming Eagle. The result was about 7000 to 4000 points, but the opponent team was searching for trouble and resulting of this, Mailman is now suspended for 3 months at TWL for using a small script 3 months ago that actually doesn't give a single advantage. We'll have to be careful with those stuff, but I'm not worried, our revange will be terrible.
We will register to CAL for Sabotage and Search & Destroy. For those who aren't already registered, it,s time to do it at www.caleague.com . The 2nd season starts in 2 weeks for both gametype. The team inscription will be done tomorrow or later this week. More information will be sent soon.
COMMUNICATION
It's this week that I start the coding of the website. I hope to be able to put 5 to 7 hours a week until it's over, but I have to admit, the month of May will be extremly busy for me. As soon as possible, all news, newsletters, schedules and others will be available on the website.
MEETING RESUME
It has been one hell of a meeting on May 7th. With unfortunatly only 6 members, the meeting still lasted 1:50 and went on the next day about CAL. Here's the meeting resume without the web site part.
Summer
We talked about the arrival of summer and the activity of the team. In general, we will most likely be inactive and won't have to show up for matchs during that lap of time, which would be about June 1st to September 1st. During that time, we won't have the COD4 server so we will have to play match on other teams server but we'll still have the ventrilo. At fall, I hope to have some help to pay the servers.
Active/Inactive Players
The team is made out of 29 players at the moment I'm writing to you including 11 in the community, 8 inactive, 4 semi-active (rarely), and 7 active. I believe we're good, but it could be more active. I think it's gonna blow up one day when all inactive players become active. Can't wait to this day!
Leagues
We will still continue TDM at TWL, but TWL only. We leave SD and SAB at the end of this week, but join CAL in the same.Even if it will be hard to be at the matches, we still start the season to get some experience. The time is perfect since we now have some experience and don't have any goal toward the up coming season.
Professionalism
We have to become more professional. In the first place, everybody has to help to find a scrim and then join and ready up quickly. No time for glitches and jumps. We have a very good attitude to look to but sometimes we can't hold ourself and I'd like us to watch out for that unless provoked first in an non important match.
Ethic
We have come back over the ethic and rules of the team and more specificly on the cheating. The rules states that no changes what so ever to the game is authorized and this avoid us problems like the dispute versus Mailman is who not suspended for 3 months.
